Sir Arthur Conan Doyle & Harry Houdini in The Adventure of the Spook House

Title: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle & Harry Houdini in The Adventure of the Spook House
Author: C. Michael Forsyth
Genre: mystery, paranormal

This mystery/paranormal novel from Greenville, SC author C. Michael Forysth, is based on the real life friendship of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini. Although both men had contrasting backgrounds and opposing views of the supernatural, they were close friends. Their friendship, camraderie, and life experiences serve them well in The Spook House...

Both men are requested by Dr. David Stratton to investigate a sinister and supernatural house in the wilds of Virginia- a house that keeps its occupants trapped forever (Hotel California, anyone?). The latest victim was Judge Parker, a lifelong friend of Dr. Stratton. Judge Parker disappeared in the house while the men were seeking refuge from a terrible storm. Although Dr. Stratton was able to escape he found no trace of his friend even after hiring various professionals (detectives, builders, architects) to search the house. Out of desperation Dr. Stratton, turned to two of the most famous men of the early twentieth century for help!

During their investigation Doyle and Houdini do indeed find out that the house has a sinister past- thanks to evil humans! Mix in seances, hidden rooms, old-fashioned detective work and car chases along with some of Houdini's best tricks and you have a rollicking good mystery on your hands!
